A Message from The Principal
Educating for Life
Westminster Kingsway College (WKC) is one of post 16-year educational institutions in London with approximately 17,000 students and around 500 directly employed full-time equivalent (FTE) staff and a number of FTE staff on a part-time agency basis. The College’s income base is around £30m.
WKC is located in the heart of London’s inner city and within our College community we represent the full range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds in London, with a cohort of students and staff representing over 50 nationalities and with over 150 mother tongue languages.
The College’s mission statement – Empowering individuals, Enabling communities, Equipping Employers, Educating for Life – reflects our intention to meet the diverse range of needs of the London population and economy by supporting all of our students in realising their ambitions as learners within a fully inclusive educational community. We want to maximise the potential of every student, widen participation, work collaboratively with others to ensure the effectiveness of learning and skill development and contribute to social and economic regeneration.
This is a challenging and ambitious agenda only achievable if we have skilled, trained, committed and motivated staff. Whatever the job that interests you, it will make an important contribution to the students, their experience of the College and their ability to succeed.
As a College we work out of six centres, all well served by public transport:
- The Kings Cross Centre
Sidmouth Street, near Euston/ Russell Square/ Kings Cross stations.
- The Soho Centre
Peter Street, near Piccadilly Circus/ Oxford St stations.
- The Regents Park Centre
Longford street, near Warren Street/Euston Square stations.
- The Victoria Centre
Vincent Square, near Victoria station.
Additionally we offer part-time educational provision in over 60 community venues and our Employer Training Solutions currently works successfully with over 50 employers.
Working for Westminster Kingsway College should be interesting and stimulating. We want to be the employer of choice and welcome applications from people from a variety of ethnic and national backgrounds, with a disability and from males and females whatever their orientation or age. We will value your contribution and provide opportunities for a wide range of training and development.
